The writer is a high school teacher from Paraiba, Brazil, who is part of the Gira Mundo 2019 group of educators. In November, she visited Proakatemia and tried to find out about the responsibilities and freedom of the students, “teampreneurs” in Proakatemia. She shares her thoughts in English and in Portugues.

Interview – Proakatemia

Proakatemia, Unit of Tampere University of Applied Sciences, can be described as institution where the learning space is distance than we know of Brazilian Training Teaching. The interaction of the students, called teams of entrepreneurs, stands out for confidence and energy in the development of their projects. Times are composed of students who will become members and acquire legal responsibilities about the company created by the group. In this sense, mutual confidence and responsibility are factors that land all the learning process. According to students Arttu and Esa the combination of responsibility and flexibility, characteristic of that system, causes the results to be more rewarding. However, for teams achieve their goals, the effective management of the time is taken, from the central objectives of each project. In addition, the division of responsibilities is made from the diversity of the group and mutual trust, taking into account communication. To this end, constant meetings are carried out with authentic feedbacks to prevent small problems become larger laser for the company. The key point of the Proakatemia methodology is the Learning by Doing, where the practice becomes the center of the teaching process. In Proakatemia, “you receive only questions and needs to find the solutions,” says the Samuel student. In this way, the student learns to think for himself, becoming autonomous and responsible for his learning. However, imbalance between theory and practice can be considered a barrier found in the process, since theory theme was allocated to the process could add value and facilitating learning, according of students’ perceptions.

Interview – Proakatemia

O Proakatemia, unidade de ensino de Tamk- Universidade de ciências aplicadas de Tampere, pode ser descrito como instituição onde o espaço de aprendizagem se distancia do que conhecemos do ensino tracionas brasileiro. A interação dos alunos, denominados times de empreendedores, se destaca pela confiança e energia no desenvolvimento dos seus projetos.

Os times são compostos por estudantes que vou tornam-se sócios e adquirem responsabilidades legais acerca da empresa criada pelo grupo. Nesse sentido, confiança e responsabilidade mútua são fatores que embasam todo o processo de aprendizagem. Segundo os alunos Arttu e Esa a combinação de responsabilidade e flexibilidade, característica desse sistema, faz com que os resultados sejam mais recompensadores.

Entretanto, para os times alcançarem seus objetivos, faz-se necessário o eficaz gerenciamento de tempo, a partir dos objetivos centrais de cada projeto. Além disso, a divisão das responsabilidades é feita a partir da diversidade do grupo e da confiança mútua, levando em consideração a comunicação. Para tal, são realizadas reuniões constantes com feedbacks autênticos a fim de evitar pequenos problemas se tornem empecilhos maiores para a empresa.

O ponto chave da metodologia do Proakatemia é o Learning by doing, em que a prática se torna o centro do processo de ensino. No Proakatemia, “você recebe apenas perguntas e precisa encontrar as soluções”, destaca o aluno Samuel. Dessa forma, o aluno aprende a pensar por si próprio, tornando-se autônomo e responsável pelo seu aprendizado.

No entanto, desequilíbrio entre teoria e prática pode ser considerado uma barreira encontrada no processo, pois a teoria embasando todo o processo poderia agregar valor e facilitar a aprendizagem.
