Different ways of fitness and wellbeing

Everyday life can be very difficult to get through or it can get very difficult when hard times arises. When you are not optimized for daily stuff the weight of those challenges can feel overwhelming. Optimizing yourself has lot of different aspects like mental, physical, and spiritual for example. In perfect scenario all these components that i’m going to mention are optimized but it’s good to remember that nothing is perfect, and we are humans, but we can always work on things.

Emotional wellness is about how we can express ourselves and our feelings. Be one with ourselves and embrace the scale of our emotions. In emotional wellness it’s important also be aware of your thought patterns and what makes them. Through being one with yourself and your emotions you can experience fulfillment in your life. This boosts optimism, positive thought patterns, love for yourself and boosts stress management. (Seven stages of wellness n.d)

Physical wellness helps you getting through daily tasks and challenges. When you improve your fitness, you don’t have to use that much energy on these daily tasks, and it doesn’t eat from the mental aspect as well. Improving and optimizing physical fitness can be done through exercising, eating healthy foods, staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, and avoiding bad habits like smoking and high level of alcohol consumption. Optimizing physical fitness requires lot of discipline but all that is worth it in order to lighten up your daily life and performance capabilities. Quite fast in daily basis small things can start to pile up. Simple things like walking up the stairs, doing long and exhausting workday, running to catch a bus, and going to sleep late at night because all the tasks. Small things make a big sum in the end. (Seven stages of wellness n.d)

Spiritual fitness is about working on your belief systems, values, and principles. It is about your own personal path and connecting to the mysteries of the universe through faith and hope. We don’t know what life will bring to us and faith for good helps to get through those. Through spirituality we can also connect ourselves to our purpose. Spirituality also links with harmony with yourself and what’s inside you but also with the bigger things like powers of existence. Spiritual fitness can be also trained through serving others and this can create sense of purpose. Not forgetting yourself in the process of helping others but helping others through love towards yourself. (Seven stages of wellness n.d)

With all these three aspects it’s important to not force things. Starting with small steps are essential and not everything at once. Usually, it doesn’t last long if you change many things in your life at once because then everything feels overwhelming. With all these different ways of fitness it’s also good to be merciful to yourself and loving yourself in every way. Building from the peace instead of toxic feeling of needing to change. With all these aspects but especially with spiritual fitness it’s important to remember that there is no right answer for everyone and every single one of us are on our own paths. While we are going on our own paths we can and should learn from others. Starting the process of developing these different ways of fitness at young age is good thing but it’s not too late to start at older age as well. Building the foundation from early life helps with overcoming adulthood challenges and being ready for them too like taking care of your children after long workdays and so on. (Seven stages of wellness n.d)

All this comes down to self-leadership. When you change the outlet of your energies from letting them go outside and instead of that, using all that energy to heal and learn from yourself first before others. This kind of actions are called healthy selfishness, and it does good for you to reflect on your past and give time for yourself. After you have learned from yourself and starting to get your purpose aligned, starting to get a view on how you can contribute to society, how you can help individuals you can start putting more energy into others and outside. (Brown 2018.)

Very helpful tip with self-improvement and self-alignment is to be aware of how it’s about the process and not the destination. It’s very easy to fell on the pit of thinking that when you accomplish something, then you are going to be enough. We don’t want that to happen for us because that turns towards toxicity and it’s not helpful for us because it will eat us alive. We are talking about lifelong process here so let’s hurry about things and let the process teach about different aspects as well. (How to love yourself for real. 3.2022)
